Cool Kids Workshop: Assessment and Treatment Strategies for Child and Adolescent Anxiety
A training workshop for the Cool Kids Program, a successful cognitive behavioral treatment program for anxious children and adolescents, run by the Emotional Health Clinic (formerly known as Macquarie University Anxiety Clinic).
This workshop focuses on training in the treatment of anxiety in children and adolescents and is designed for psychologists and school counselors. The workshop includes training on the “Cool Kids” anxiety program and the school based version. It also covers general information on child and adolescent anxiety disorders including, diagnostic criteria, assessment techniques, and current research findings.
Teaching Method: The workshop will include a combination of didactic explanation, video case material and demonstration of treatment components. Questions and discussion from participants is strongly encouraged.
